These factors have affected businesses, particularly MSMEs, which are the backbone of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The loan scheme is designed to support these businesses financially, enabling them to sustain operations, expand, and create jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for MSME loans up to N1 million, applicants must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Existing Business<\/em>: Have an existing business in operation for at least one year<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Registered Start-up<\/em>: Have a registered start-up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Business Registration<\/em>: Provide CAC business registration documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Bank Statement<\/em>: Present the company\u2019s bank statement for existing businesses or the chief promoter\u2019s bank statement for start-ups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Monthly Turnover<\/em>: Fulfill the required monthly turnover<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Security<\/em>: Provide a personal guarantee of the promoter, agree to the BVN covenant, and adhere to global standing instruction and other securities as required by the bank<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Repayment Terms<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful applicants will repay the loan in monthly equal installments with no moratorium, spanning a three-year term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Manufacturers\u2019 Loans<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For loans up to N1 billion, manufacturers must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Choose Financing Option<\/em>: Choose between working capital or asset financing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Business Banking Relationship<\/em>: Maintain at least a six-month business\/corporate banking relationship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Additional Documentation<\/em>: Provide additional documentation as required by the bank<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Manufacturers can enjoy a five-year repayment period for asset financing or a six-month moratorium on principal and interest, followed by a 12-month equal installment repayment plan for working capital financing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As of August 2024, 630,797 citizens have benefited from the Presidential Conditional Grant Scheme, part of the Presidential Palliatives Programme. The scheme dedicates N75 billion to MSMEs and another N75 billion to the manufacturing sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, led by Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, works tirelessly to ensure prompt fund release to eligible businesses.
