MTN Bursary Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this Bursary program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- South African Citizenship
- Completed Matriculation Certificate
- Enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, one of the listed fields of study at a recognized South African tertiary institution
- Demonstrated good academic record (previous transcripts required)
- Preference is given to previously disadvantaged students
MTN Bursary Application Requirements
Meeting the eligibility criteria is just the first step.

- Certified copy of your South African ID document
- Certified copy of your Matriculation certificate
- Full academic record on official tertiary institution letterhead
- Latest certified academic transcripts
- Proof of enrollment in a qualifying field of study (official acceptance letter)
- Proof of household income (latest payslips, affidavit if unemployed, or pension statement)
- Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae
- Motivational letter outlining your future aspirations and how the bursary will contribute to achieving them.
