An affidavit stating no income is required if you have none.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of Caregiver Status: Documents demonstrating you&#8217;re the primary caregiver (school registration documents, clinic cards, etc.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply for the Child Support Grant<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two ways to apply for the Child Support Grant:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In-Person Application: Visit your nearest SASSA office. SASSA staff will assist you with the application form and ensure you submit the necessary documents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Online Application: SASSA offers an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sassa.gov.za\/Pages\/Child-Support-Grant.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online application<\/a> system. You&#8217;ll need to create an account and upload scanned copies of the required documents.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You must remember that the processing time for applications can vary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, you can generally expect a response within two to three months<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can check the status of your application online using your SASSA account or by calling the SASSA toll-free number: 0800 601 160.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once approved, the grant will be paid monthly into your SASSA card account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can collect the funds at any SASSA pay point or withdraw them using your SASSA card at ATMs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the value of the Child Support Grant?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The value of the Child Support Grant is adjusted annually.
