For nursing, that means NSFAS applies mainly to nursing degrees at public universities. Check the institution on SANC&#8217;s list before you apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applying to a public nursing college<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Watch your provincial health department&#8217;s website for the application window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply to the college, such as the Gauteng College of Nursing campuses in Gauteng.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare a certified ID, your matric results and often a police clearance certificate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask about bursary conditions, which can include working for the province after you qualify.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applying for NSFAS for a nursing degree<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apply online at nsfas.org.za when the window opens and apply for admission to the university at the same time.
