Eastcape Midlands TVET College (EMC) takes applications online in two parts: a short career guidance questionnaire on gostudy.net/emc, then the application itself on the college’s Coltech portal at emc.coltech.co.za. The same portal is where you later check whether you were accepted.

Step by step

 1. Complete the career guidance questionnaire so the college can see which programmes suit you.

 2. Open the Coltech portal and create an applicant profile with your ID number and a working cellphone number and email address.

 3. Fill in your personal, contact and school details.

 4. Type your latest results as percentages, subject by subject.

 5. Choose the campus and programme you want.

 6. Upload your ID and results as clear PDF files.
