An N3 in electrical engineering, with the right subjects, is a solid technical foundation. It remains valid even though new N1 to N3 enrolments ended in 2024. Your main options now are the electrician trade, the remaining N4 to N6 intakes where colleges still offer them, and occupational qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifying as an electrician<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  3. Pass the trade test to qualify as an artisan electrician.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. To issue certificates of compliance for installations, register with the Department of Employment and Labour as an electrician, which has its own requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
