Are Unisa Applications Open For 2027?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unisa’s application dates for the 2027 academic year depend on the qualification you want:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Undergraduate qualifications (higher certificates, diplomas and degrees): Unisa accepts applications from 17 August to 9 October 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Honours degrees and postgraduate diplomas: Unisa accepts applications over the same period, 17 August to 9 October 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Master’s and doctoral qualifications: Unisa accepts applications from 1 September to 20 November 2026, although selection degrees and some other qualifications have their own periods. Applications for Unisa’s short learning programmes open on 2 November 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    What is the closing date for Unisa registration?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The application deadline is different from the registration deadline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Once you’ve received an offer for admission, you’ll be given specific instructions on completing your registration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Accept your offer within 10 working days (unless the email says otherwise) at www.unisa.ac.za\/acceptoffer, then register during the registration period. For 2026, undergraduate semester-module registration ran from 7 January to 20 February 2026. Unisa had not published the 2027 registration dates by 17 September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How do I check my Unisa status for 2027?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    If you applied to Unisa before the deadlines mentioned above, you can check your application status online through the Unisa Student Portal<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Use Unisa’s Track application status tool. You only need your student number. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is the process to follow to check your status:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Visit the Unisa website (https:\/\/www.unisa.ac.za\/<\/a>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Open the Track application status page at https:\/\/myadmin.unisa.ac.za\/unisa-studentstatus\/default.do.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Enter your student number and click Continue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Read the status of each qualification you applied for.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. If the status has not changed, check the email address you gave in your application for updates from Unisa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      If you are a first-time applicant and haven’t received a student number yet, you can contact the Unisa call center at 0800 00 1870 or email study-info@unisa.ac.za for application status updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How much is the application fee for Unisa in 2027?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Unisa charges first-time applicants R160.00 for an online application (R255 for a hard copy), and the fee is due by the closing date of the application period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You’ll be required to pay this fee after you’ve submitted your application and received a student number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to apply at Unisa for 2027<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
