Postgraduate students pay the first 20% in the month they register. A debit order option spreads fees over ten equal monthly instalments from March. <\/p>\n\n\n\n International students are treated differently. SU\u2019s 2026 international fee sheet requires degree-seeking international students to make a minimum compulsory initial payment towards tuition and registration fees before or at registration, and residence students must also pay a compulsory first residence instalment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n SU has not published 2027 payment dates yet, so treat the 2026 schedule as a guide only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For international degree-seeking students, the 2026 initial payment covers part of the tuition fee, the international registration fee and the academic service fee, plus the international tuition fee in full where it applies. It is not the full cost of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What does block registration for every student is old debt: SU states that any outstanding balance from the previous year must be paid in full before you can register, and it may not enter into payment arrangements for that debt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If your SA study fees are paid in full on or before 31 March, you can apply for a 3% rebate on tuition fees, and the deadline for that application is 30 September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n International students, including Namibians, become liable for their full tuition fees on the day they register. The initial payment only gets you registered: under the 2026 international fee sheet, the rest is due by 31 May for first-semester enrolments and by 30 September for second-semester enrolments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stellenbosch University sets tuition fees based on the programme and academic load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Tuition is not a single flat amount but varies by field of study, level of qualification (undergraduate, honours, master\u2019s or doctoral), and your total credit load. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The most recent estimates from SU\u2019s official fee pages reflect the 2026 fees as projected amounts for study costs by programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n These are good indicators until the 2027 schedule is published:<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you need a personalised estimate, SU\u2019s study fees page lets you request a Provisional Statement of Fees (quotation) for undergraduate and postgraduate study. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The published study-fee amounts are 2026 estimates for a sample of programmes and exclude textbooks, society fees and parking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stellenbosch University requires that all student fee payments be made into its official SU student fees bank account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n When making payments, use your SU student number as the payment reference so that the funds are correctly allocated to your account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n While the specific bank account details for 2027 are not yet published, the 2026 fee documentation shows that payment channels include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) covers tuition and initial payments on behalf of eligible students at Stellenbosch University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If your NSFAS funding is approved before the registration deadline, NSFAS pays your tuition fees directly to SU.
