Magalies Water Bursary Requirements

In order for you to be eligible for the Magalies Water Bursary, you must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria:

  1. South African Citizenship: You must be a South African citizen.
  2. Age: Be between 18 and 35 years old.
  3. Matric Exemption: You must have either completed Matric (Grade 12) or be currently enrolled in your final year.
  4. Academic Performance: Achieve a minimum overall average of 65% in your Matric certificate.
  5. Study Field: You must be enrolled in, or intend to enroll in, a full-time program for one of the following qualifications:
    • Biotechnology or Microbiology (Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree)
    • Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry (Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree)
    • Civil Engineering (Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree, N4-N6)
    • Electrical Engineering (Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree, N4-N6)
    • Financial Accounting (Bachelor’s Degree)
    • Mechanical Engineering (Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree, N4-N6)
  6. Tertiary Institution: You must be studying or intend to study at a registered and accredited South African university or college.
