NSFAS Begins Paying June 2025 Allowances to TVET College Students
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially started processing allowance payments for TVET College students for the month of June 2025. This announcement is good news for thousands of students who rely on these funds to support their studies.
On Tuesday, 25 June 2025, NSFAS confirmed that all qualifying students whose registration data was successfully submitted by their institutions have now started receiving their allowances. However, students were reminded that payments will only be made to those who uploaded their bank account details on the myNSFAS platform.
“We are pleased to announce that NSFAS has started making allowance payments to NSFAS-funded students at TVET Colleges for the 25th of June 2025,” the scheme stated.
Key NSFAS Payment Dates for June 2025
- Student allowances: Paid starting 25 June 2025
- Accommodation allowances: To be paid by 27 June 2025
- Tuition payments to colleges: To reflect within a few days
Students should note that while all payments are processed at the same time, the actual date they reflect in individual bank accounts may vary. This is due to delays between different banking institutions.
“The time of receiving these funds may differ between students depending on the banking institutions they use,” NSFAS clarified.

NSFAS pays several types of allowances based on where a student lives, whether they have a disability, and their specific needs. Below is a breakdown of the main allowances for TVET College students in 2025:

“You are reminded to use the funds responsibly and for the purposes related to learning,” NSFAS emphasized.
