Eligibility Criteria
- Must hold a completed three-year tertiary qualification in one of the approved fields above.
- Must be currently unemployed, under 30–35 years (varies by source) at the start of recruitment year.
- Must not be participating in any other studies or learnership during the recruitment year.
- Must present a professional image, with clear credit (ITC) and no criminal record.
- Must provide a positive recommendation or testimonial.
- Must be a South African citizen with valid ID.
- Persons with disabilities must submit a medical certificate confirming the nature of the disability.
- Must communicate effectively in written and verbal English.
How to Apply
Application forms are available when the recruitment window opens between July and August each year.
You can:
- Download the form from the official BankSETA website.
- Collect it from BankSETA offices in Midrand or Kelly offices in your region.
- Complete it in your own handwriting and sign it.
Submit your application via Kelly offices by hand, email, or post before the deadline (often end of August).

- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Certified copy of your tertiary qualification certificate and statement of results
- Positive recommendation or testimonial
- Medical certificate (if you have a disability)
- Signed application form in full handwriting
- Any additional documents specified in the form
Closing Date
Applications generally close at the end of August each year. For the 2026–2026 cycle, the closing date was 31 August 2026.
You must apply before the deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
