Social grants paid by Sassa are a vital source of financial support for millions of South Africans, helping to combat poverty and ensure basic needs are met. These grants include:

Sassa Grant Payment Amounts for June 2026
On 1 April 2026, Sassa grant increases announced by Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana came into effect. These increased grants will be collected in June. Here are the payment amounts for June:
- Older Persons grant: R2,180
- Older Persons (75 years and older): R2,200
- Disability grant: R2,180
- War Veterans grant: R2,200
- Care Dependency grant: R2,180
- Foster Care grant: R1,180
- Child Support grant: R530
- Child Support grant (Top-up): R530 + R250
- SRD Grant: R370
Sassa Grant Payment Dates for June 2026
- Older Persons Grant: 4 June 2026
- Disability Grants: 5 June 2026
- Children’s Grants: 6 June 2026
Sassa Grants to Increase in October
On 1 October 2026, Sassa grant beneficiaries can expect another increase. Here are the announced increases:
- Older Persons grant: R10
- Older Persons (75 years and older): R10
- Disability grant: R10
- War Veterans grant: R10
- Care Dependency grant: R10
- Foster Care grant: None
- Child Support grant: None
- Child Support grant (Top-up): R10
- SRD Grant: None
