SASSA Grant Payment Dates for September 2026

Over 18 million South Africans rely on Sassa grants to avoid extreme poverty.

These grants include:

  • Older Person’s pension grant
  • Disability grant
  • War Veterans grant
  • Care Dependency Grant
  • Foster Child Grant
  • Child Support Grant
  • Child Support Grant Top-Up
  • Grant-in-aid

September 2026 Payment Dates

Mark your calendars! Here are the payment dates:

  • Wednesday, 2 September 2026: older persons grant
  • Thursday, 3 September 2026: disability grants
  • Friday, 4 September 2026: children’s grants

Take Note

  • No payments on public holidays or weekends
  • If the second day of the month falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment will be made on the next weekday
  • Grants will be paid on consecutive days, with no extended delays
  • No rush to withdraw cash on the first day; the money will remain in your account until needed

Remember, beneficiaries are not forced to collect their money on the first day. Take your time, and withdraw when needed.
