SASSA Confirms August 2025 Payment Dates for Social Grants

  • Older Persons (75 years and older): R2,335
  • Disability Grant: R2,320
  • War Veterans Grant: R2,315
  • Care Dependency Grant: R2,315
  • Foster Care Grant: R1,250

Budget Allocation for Social Grants

During the recent Budget Vote presentation to the National Assembly, Minister of Social Development, Sisisi Tolashe, announced a total allocation of R266 billion for social grants. This funding will support approximately 28 million beneficiaries, including 9 million individuals who receive the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant.
