ACTOM Bursary South Africa 2026 – Engineering Degrees Fully Supported

Fields of Study Funded

The bursary supports full-time study in these engineering disciplines at accredited South African universities or universities of technology:

• Electrical Engineering
  
• Mechanical Engineering
  
• Industrial Engineering

Benefits for Recipients

Selected recipients may receive funding for:

• Registration and tuition fees
  
• Prescribed materials and textbooks
  
• Potential accommodation support, depending on assessed need and funding levels

The bursary removes financial barriers, allowing you to focus on academic and technical development.

Eligibility Criteria 

To qualify, you must meet every requirement:

• Be a South African citizen
  
• Be in Matric or have completed Matric
  
• Have a minimum overall average of 60% in Matric
  
• Be accepted into an accredited degree programme in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  
• Demonstrate financial need via household income proof or affidavit
  Incomplete or ineligible applications will not be considered.

2. Download the bursary application form when available.
   
3. Complete all form sections accurately.
   
4. When asked where you heard about bursaries, enter “www.bursariesafrica.co.za.”
   
5. Scan and compile all required documents (see below).
   
6. Email your application to [email protected], using the subject line “ACTOM Bursary 2026 Application.”
   Only emailed applications are accepted.

Ensure your application includes clear, certified copies of:

• South African ID (not older than 3 months)
  
• Latest academic results (Matric June or full Matric certificate)
  
• Official letter of acceptance for your engineering programme
  
• Fee schedule or invoice from your institution
  
• Proof of residence (e.g., ID document, utility bill)
  
• Parent or guardian proof of income or affidavit if unemployed
  Incomplete applications risk disqualification.

ACTOM has not published a specific deadline for 2026 bursaries.
