Fields of Study Funded
Funding is available for teaching qualifications in these specialist areas, offered at selected Trinityhouse schools (Centurion and Roodepoort, Gauteng):
- African Languages (First Additional Language)
- Early Childhood Development
- Foundation Phase teaching
- Mathematics teaching
- Science teaching
Applicants must be in 3rd or 4th year of study, full-time or part-time.
Benefits for Recipients
Recipients receive tuition fee funding ranging up to full cover, depending on academic performance. They also gain access to:
- Mentorship programme
- At least one practical teaching placement at a Trinityhouse school (subject to feasibility)
- Paid school work opportunities (e.g. sports coaching, teaching assistant roles)
- Post-graduation employment placement opportunity within ADvTECH Schools (if positions available)
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this bursary, you must meet all of the following:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be studying towards a teaching qualification in one of the listed subject areas
- Be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in your 3rd or 4th year
- Demonstrate passion for teaching and helping others
Failure to meet any requirement disqualifies your application.
