Through its Bill Venter Academy, the company invests in developing future leaders in IT, engineering, and business aligned with its operations.
Fields of Study Funded
This bursary is offered to South African students enrolled full-time in the following fields:
- Electronic & Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics)
- Electronic & Electrical Engineering combinations (not purely Electrical)
- Industrial Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science / Informatics
- Finance (limited spots)
Benefits for Recipients
Successful candidates receive financial support for tuition, registration, and textbooks.
Recipients gain access to structured mentorship, vacation work placements across Altron business units, and potential future employment upon meeting academic and performance standards.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following:
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Registered full-time for an eligible field at a recognised South African university (not a University of Technology)
- Strong academic record—preference for previously disadvantaged backgrounds
Failing any requirement disqualifies you.
