Fields of Study Funded

The bursary is intended for full‑time students entering into their 3rd year, Honours, or Master’s year in one of the following at a recognized South African tertiary institution:

  • Risk Management
  • Insurance (or related actuarial/risk disciplines)

Benefits for Recipients

Eligibility Criteria 

To apply, you must meet all of the following:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Have completed Matric and are enrolled full-time in the 3rd year, Honours, or Master’s studies in Risk or Insurance in 2026
  • Show an excellent academic record (high averages in previous years)
  • Be registered at a recognized South African tertiary institution
  • Demonstrate financial need where necessary

How to Apply

  1. Create an account and log in via the Aon eRecruit platform.
  2. Complete the online application form, upload the required documents.
  3. When prompted “Where did you hear about bursaries?”, enter “www.bursariesafrica.co.za.”
  4. Submit before the official closing date once it is announced. Only applications via the portal are accepted.

Include certified copies of the following with your application:

  • South African ID document
  • Matric certificate
  • Full academic transcript from tertiary studies
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) highlighting leadership and academic achievements
  • A formal motivation letter or financial needs affidavit if required
