- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Architecture
- Quantity Surveying
- Construction Management
- Interior Design
- Supply Chain Management / Financial Management (for built‑environment administration)
- Demonstrate strong academic potential.
- Be financially needy — able to show that you would struggle to cover tertiary costs without support.
What the Bursary Covers
According to publicly available information, the GDID bursary may cover:
- Tuition fees for the prescribed course.
- Registration costs.
- Prescribed textbooks and study materials.
- Possibly accommodation costs if required.
In some past cycles, the bursary also offered mentorship and internship opportunities within GDID, giving students practical exposure to infrastructure projects.

You can collect the form from a GDID office or download it from Gauteng DID’s website. - Prepare supporting documents, such as:

- Motivational letter explaining why you deserve the bursary.

Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development Bursary Closing Date
There is no confirmed listing for a 2026 bursary cycle on the official GDID site.
The GDID bursary is not currently being offered due to budget constraints, according to National Treasury.
