GIBB Bursary Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the GIBB Bursary, you must typically meet these conditions:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Be enrolled in or accepted for a full-time engineering degree (undergraduate, Honours or Master’s).
  3. Be studying in one of GIBB’s priority engineering disciplines: Civil Engineering (including water, rail, and roads), Electrical Engineering, and Electronic Engineering (signalling, telecommunications).
  4. For undergraduates, you usually must be entering your second year or higher (or be in Honours/Master’s).
  5. Maintain a minimum academic performance, often around a 60% average.

  2. Books and prescribed learning materials.
