VerifiedMintek, the Council for Mineral Technology, is the state research council for minerals and metallurgy, based in Randburg, Johannesburg. Besides its postgraduate bursaries, in-service training and postdoctoral fellowships, it takes new graduates as interns in its research divisions. Mintek describes the internship as a way to gain work experience in a research environment under experienced mentors, and it recruits interns post by post rather than in one yearly intake.
