New applicants
- Create a profile on Learner Profiler.
- Complete career guidance.
- Write the placement assessment, which covers your course choices, spelling, mathematics and other modules.
- Complete the online application and upload your ID, results and proof of residence as PDFs.
Westcol responds after the closing date by SMS or email. Details are on Westcol’s how-to-apply page.
Returning students
Log in to the student portal at westcol.coltech.co.za, labelled Returning Student on the Westcol website, to register for your next level or trimester.
If you had a gap between registration cycles, Westcol treats you as a new applicant, and you must apply again online.
Registration rules from the Westcol FAQ
- There is no application or registration fee.
- Students without funding pay a 50% deposit of class fees at registration.
- Documents must be certified and not older than six months.
- If you do not register on your invited date, you lose your place.
- To change course, cancel the course on the portal and reapply within the application period.
- If you missed the deadline, sign the walk-in register at a campus.
