There is no separate NSFAS application at South West Gauteng TVET College (SWGC). You apply to NSFAS online at nsfas.org.za, and apply to SWGC for a place through its own portal. NSFAS then funds you once SWGC confirms your registration.

If NSFAS has not decided by registration
SWGC lists first payments for self-funded students: R1,000 for NC(V), R500 for semester N-courses and R330 for trimester N-courses. Ask your campus financial aid office what applies if your NSFAS decision is still pending.
Programmes to check for funding
- Digital occupational certificates at George Tabor, such as Cybersecurity Analyst, carry NSFAS allowances on the DHET 2026 list.
- The Electrician certificate at Roodepoort West has no NSFAS allowances on that list.
- NC(V) programmes closed to new Level 2 students under DHET circular TC 0153 are not options for new applicants.
An SWGC document called “Case Statuses” explains NSFAS statuses. Use it to understand your NSFAS result, but check SWGC admission separately on iEnabler.
