What Do the UWC Status Messages Mean?

1. Pending or Awaiting Final Decision means that your application is being reviewed by the faculty, and no final decision has been made yet.
2. Offer Pending means UWC has made an offer to you. You must accept it to secure your place.
3. Offer Accepted means you have accepted the offer to study at UWC.
4. Offer Declined means you turned down the offer.
5. Offer Expired means you did not accept the offer within the time given, and it has been withdrawn.
6. Min Req Met/Min Req NOT Met messages relate to whether you meet the minimum requirements for the programme. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee an offer.

How Do I Accept or Decline an Offer?

If UWC has made an offer, your status will show Offer Pending. You should do the following:

1. Log in to student.uwc.ac.za.
2. Go to the Study Offer tab.
3. Click Accept Offer if you want to study at UWC.
4. Click Decline Offer if you do not want to accept it.

You usually have a set number of days to accept the offer. If you do not accept within that time, the offer may expire and be withdrawn.

What Should I Do After Being Admitted?

After you accept an offer from UWC, you need to register for your programme. 

For the 2026 academic year, UWC opened registration in January 2026, so expect registration for 2027 to open in January 2027. 

New undergraduate students and postgraduate students must complete online registration during the specified period. 

If you do not register by the deadline, your offer may be cancelled.

If your status shows that documents are missing or outstanding, you should upload them as soon as possible.
