University of Limpopo (UL) Late Applications Link 2027

The University of Limpopo (UL) is a well-known public university in South Africa.

What are the UL application dates for 2027?

The University of Limpopo opened its 2027 application cycle on 1 April 2026 and charges a non-refundable R200 application fee. 

UL closes most 2027 applications on 30 September 2026. Medicine (MBChB) and international applications closed earlier, on 30 July 2026.

Some competitive programmes, such as Medicine (MBChB) or other selective fields, may have had earlier closing dates. 

Applicants were advised to apply early to avoid missing these deadlines.

All applications must be submitted online through the official University of Limpopo application portal on ul.ac.za unless otherwise stated by programme rules.

Does the University of Limpopo accept late applications for 2027?

Officially, UL did not advertise a formal late application window similar to the systems used by some universities (like late enquiries at UJ). 

UL’s 2027 application notice lists closing dates only and says nothing about a late application window.

However, there are several important clarifications to understand:

1. UL’s main application portal closes after the official deadline. If you missed the deadline, you normally cannot submit a new application through the regular portal.
2. UL has in the past advertised late applications for selected programmes in the Faculty of Science and Agriculture when those programmes still had space. UL publishes such notices on ul.ac.za, so treat any late window you see elsewhere with caution until UL confirms it.
3. Because the university does not clearly publish a late applications link on its official site, the safest and most accurate way to check is to consult UL’s official admissions pages or contact the university directly before attempting any late application.

How to apply online at UL

To apply to the University of Limpopo for 2027:

1. Visit https://www.ul.ac.za and go to the Admissions section.

4. Complete all sections of the application form with your personal and academic details.
5. Upload certified copies of your South African ID or passport, latest academic results, and proof of payment of the application handling fee.

For South African applicants, the application fee is R200. 

International applicants pay R750, which must be deposited into the UL account and proof of payment uploaded with the form.
