Fields of Study Funded

Bridgestone offers bursaries for the following qualifications:

  1. BCom in Business, Commercial Studies, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Project Management, or IT
  2. Engineering-related degrees
  3. Linguistics and Art-related qualifications
  4. Safety-related qualifications
  5. Property Management and Real Estate-related qualifications
  6. Medical and Nursing-related qualifications
  7. Law (LLB, BA Law, BCom Law)
  8. Technical qualifications (N4, N5, N6 levels)

Benefits for Recipients

  • Coverage of tuition fees and prescribed textbooks only
  • Does not extend to living expenses such as accommodation or allowances

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following:

  1. Be a South African citizen residing in Port Elizabeth
  2. Have completed Matric
  3. Be accepted to or registered at a South African tertiary institution in 2026 in one of the eligible fields
  4. Achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in their latest academic year
  5. Be studying either full-time or part-time
  6. Not receiving any other bursary

  • Certified ID copy
  • Your latest academic record/transcript on official letterhead
  • Proof of admission or registration at your tertiary institution (on official letterhead)
  • Your CV
  • A motivational letter (maximum 300 words) explaining why you should receive the bursary

Closing Date

The deadline for the 2026 bursary was 12 April 2025. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered.
