Breede Valley Municipality Bursary | Application Form, Eligibility Requirement and Closing Date

The Breede Valley Municipality Bursary program aims to invest in the future of its locals by providing financial aid to the hardworking but needy students among them who are pursuing their tertiary education.

The program offers two bursary options:

  1. Mayoral Bursary: This bursary is awarded to students who excel academically and show admirable leadership potential.
  2. Treasury Bursary: This bursary is awarded to students who are financially challenged and are pursuing studies relevant to local government.

Both bursaries cover tuition fees, accommodation, and other approved study-related expenses.

Recipients are also expected to contribute to community development initiatives through internships or volunteer work.

Application Form for the Breede Valley Municipality Bursary

To apply for the Breede Valley Municipality Bursary, you must submit a completed application form along with the following supporting documents:

  1. Certified copy of your South African identity document
  2. Matric certificate or latest academic results
  3. Proof of residence within the Breede Valley Municipality (Rawsonville, Worcester, De Doorns, and Touwsrivier)
  4. Letter of motivation outlining your academic goals and career aspirations
  5. Certified copies of any relevant academic awards or achievements
  6. For the Treasury Bursary: Proof of financial need (e.g., parents’ income tax returns)

Breede Valley Municipality Bursary Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Breede Valley Municipality Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen
  2. Reside within the jurisdiction of the Breede Valley Municipality
  3. Be currently in Matric or have completed Matric with a minimum overall average of 50%
  4. Be registered or intend to register at an accredited South African university or college
  5. Demonstrate financial need (for the Treasury Bursary)
  6. Commit to contributing to community development initiatives

Breede Valley Municipality Bursary Closing Date

Please note that the application deadlines for the two bursaries differ slightly:

  1. Mayoral Bursary: Applications for this bursary close on 1 December 2023 at 14:00.
  2. Treasury Bursary: Applications for this bursary close on 4 December 2023 at 14:00.
