About the Bursary
The Cape BOD Bursary is funded by the Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies and supported by donors who value education within the community.
It seeks to uplift Jewish learners by easing the burden of tertiary costs and empowering graduates to contribute positively to society.
Fields of Study Funded
The bursary supports all fields of undergraduate and postgraduate study at accredited tertiary institutions in the Western Cape.Β
There is no restriction on subject area, as long as the study is at a recognised institution in the province.
Eligibility Criteria
You must satisfy all of the following:
- Be of Jewish faith or heritage.
- Reside in the Western Cape province.
- Be currently studying or intending to study full-time at a recognised tertiary institution in the Western Cape.
- Be financially disadvantaged, demonstrating genuine need.
How to Apply
To apply:
- Email request for the bursary application form to [email protected].
- Complete the form when received, and attach all required documents.
Required Documents
Prepare these clear copies to include with your form:
- South African ID document.
- Most recent academic results (Matric or tertiary).
- Proof of residence within the Western Cape.
- Proof of household income for financial need assessment.
Closing Date
2026 bursary applications opened on 1st September and will close on 31st October 2025.
