The Cape BOD Bursary Foundation is run by the Cape South African Jewish Board of Deputies and funded by donations from families and trusts in the community. It helps Jewish students in the Western Cape meet the cost of tertiary study in any field, at undergraduate or postgraduate level.

  • Studying, or intending to study, at a recognised tertiary institution in the Western Cape.
  • Able to demonstrate genuine financial need.

How to apply for the Cape BOD Bursary

  1. Email bursaries@ctjc.co.za to request the application form and the current closing date.
  2. Complete the form and attach your South African ID, your most recent academic results, proof of residence in the Western Cape and your parents’ or guardians’ proof of income.
  3. Return the application by email before the closing date. Awards are decided by the foundation’s committee.
