Evander Gold Mining Bursary Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must reside within the Govan Mbeki Local Municipality in Mpumalanga Province.
- Must have completed Matric (National Senior Certificate) or be in the process of entering tertiary study.
- Must intend to study or already be studying towards a recognised qualification in one of the eligible fields: Chemical Engineering; Extraction Metallurgy / Metallurgical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be entering their first to final year of study in the application year.

The bursary provides comprehensive support for the selected students:
- Full cover of tuition fees for the approved study programme.
- Accommodation costs (for students requiring residence) at approved institutions.
- Textbooks and study materials.
- A monthly allowance to support living expenses.
