The HKA Bursary Programme is a targeted initiative aimed at fostering exceptional academic talent in fields critical to the company’s operations and the broader professional services sector.
The HKA Bursary is designed to support high-achieving students from previously disadvantaged backgrounds (PDI) who demonstrate both academic excellence and commercial awareness.
The bursary targets highly specialised professional qualifications.
The programme prioritises qualifications essential for roles in legal, dispute resolution, and project management sectors.
Bursaries aim to empower students to complete their qualifications without major financial constraints.
HKA also shows a preference for supporting students from specific areas, such as the Nkangala District in the Mpumalanga Province.
HKA Bursary Supported Fields of Study
The bursary historically focuses on specific undergraduate Law qualifications, with recent awards also supporting Engineering students:
- Law Degrees:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
- BCom Law

- Engineering Degrees (specific disciplines should be confirmed when the new application opens).
