The Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety has offered full-time bursaries to Limpopo residents in transport, logistics and policing fields as part of its skills pipeline. The programme has been dormant for several years, and this page explains what it offered and where to look instead.
About the Limpopo Transport and Community Safety Bursary
- Fields: logistics, policing, road safety, supply chain management, transport economics and transport planning.
- Covered registration and tuition fees, prescribed books, meals and accommodation at the institution or an accredited student residence.
- For full-time study at a public university or university of technology.
Eligibility requirements
- South African citizen living in Limpopo.
- Completed Matric.
- Registered, or provisionally accepted, for full-time study in a listed field at a public institution.
- Open to all, with preference for previously disadvantaged applicants and people with disabilities.
How to apply
- Check the bursaries page at ldtcs.gov.za for a new advert.
- If one appears, write an application letter quoting the reference in the advert and attach a certified ID, your Matric certificate, your latest results and proof of registration or acceptance on the institution’s letterhead, proof of Limpopo residence, proof of your parents’ or guardians’ income and proof of disability if applicable.
- Submit it to the head office at 40 Church Street, second floor, office 45, Polokwane, or to the district office in Capricorn, Vhembe, Sekhukhune, Waterberg or Mopani.
