About the Novus Holdings (Paarl Media Trust) Bursary

The Paarl Media Bursary Trust, established in 2008 by the Retief family, is an initiative of Novus Holdings. 

Funded by the investment returns managed by independent trustees, the bursary program aims to support academically high-achieving learners from disadvantaged backgrounds who lack the financial resources to pursue tertiary studies.

The Paarl Media Trust Bursary is open to various fields of study, allowing recipients to pursue their academic aspirations without financial limitations.

Novus Holdings (Paarl Media Trust) Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Paarl Media Trust Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Have completed Matric or be currently enrolled in Matric.
  3. Be enrolled in or intend to enroll full-time in a recognized tertiary qualification program at a South African institution.
  4. Demonstrate a strong academic record.
  5. Come from a financially disadvantaged background.
  6. Be actively involved in your community.
  7. Possess leadership qualities.
