How to Check Your UFH Application Status
UFH has a simple online process to check your application status.
You can follow these steps to view your latest admission update.
- Go to the University of Fort Hare Online Application Portal.
- Log in using the username and password you created when you submitted your application.
- Once logged in, find the application status or admission tracking section in your dashboard.
- Enter any required verification details such as your student number or ID number if prompted.
- Click the View Status button or similar link to see the current status of your application.

What Your Status Means
When you view your application status on the UFH portal, you may see various messages. Understanding what these messages mean helps you know what to do next.
- Application Submitted
This means UFH has successfully received your application and your documents are in the system.
No decision has been made yet.
- In Progress / Under Review
This status indicates that the admissions office is currently evaluating your application.
No further action is required while your application is being reviewed.
- Awaiting Documents
This means the university needs additional documents from you.
You should upload any missing documents as soon as possible to complete the review process.
- Provisionally Accepted
This status means you meet initial requirements but final admission depends on some conditions.
Conditions may include final examination results or submission of additional certificates.
- Accepted / Final Offer
This status confirms that your application has been successful and you have been offered admission.
You may receive instructions on how to accept the offer and begin registration.
- Rejected / Declined
This means UFH could not offer admission based on your application.
Reasons may include not meeting programme requirements or limited space.
UFH may also send email or SMS notifications about your admission decision, so check those regularly if you do not see an update quickly.
