UCT 2027 Application Opening and Closing Dates
- Applications Open: 1 April 2026
- Applications Close: 31 July 2026 (for most programmes)
- UCT Financial Aid Applications: Also close on 31 July 2026
- Health Sciences and International Applicants: Must also apply by 31 July 2026

Documents Needed for UCT Application

Faculty-Specific Notes
- Health Sciences: Highly competitive. Applications close 31 July 2026 and require early preparation.

- South African applicants: R100
- International applicants: R300
- UCT Financial Aid applicants: May apply for an application fee waiver

What Happens After You Apply?
After submitting your application, you will receive an email with your UCT applicant number. The university will communicate updates via email and sometimes SMS. You can also track your application status online using your ID number or applicant number. Final admission offers are made after Matric results are released in early 2027.
