UFS Postgraduate Diploma Bursary Requirements

If you want to be eligible for the UFS Postgraduate Diploma Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Be a South African citizen or permanent resident. International students may be eligible for other funding opportunities.
  2. Be enrolled full-time in a postgraduate diploma program offered by the UFS. This excludes Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) programs.
  3. Have achieved a minimum aggregate of 70% in your final year of undergraduate studies.
  4. Demonstrate financial need. You will be required to submit proof of income and expenses.
  5. Commit to fulfilling specific requirements:
    • Agree to apply for and complete a Master’s degree upon completion of the postgraduate diploma.
    • Participate in Research Capacity Development workshops offered by the CGS.
    • Be available for up to 120 hours per year to assist as a tutor, student/academic assistant, or marker.
