Bester Feed and Grain is a Western Cape agribusiness in animal feed, grain trading and logistics. Its Bursary and Graduate Development Programme funds students in agriculture, business, finance, logistics and marketing, pays them for vacation work and moves them into a structured graduate role at the company when they finish, in exchange for a work-back commitment.
About the Bester Bursary
- Fields: degrees in agriculture, business, finance, logistics and supply chain, and marketing.
- Covers full tuition fees.
- Compulsory paid vacation work: two weeks in June or July and two weeks in November or December.
- Mentoring by a senior manager and a place on the graduate development programme after graduating, with a work-back period equal to the years funded.
Bester Bursary eligibility requirements
- South African citizen.
- Entering the second year or later of a listed degree at an accredited South African institution.
- At least a 65% overall average.
- Able to understand Afrikaans, with strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
- Interested in working for Bester after graduating. Employment equity candidates are preferred.
