Black Mountain Mining, the Vedanta Zinc International operation at Aggeneys in the Northern Cape, funds students from its host communities through the Black Mountain Study Trust. The bursary is for residents of the Khai-Ma Local Municipality, which covers Aggeneys, Pofadder, Pella, Onseepkans and Witbank, and it favours the health, education, agriculture and business fields the region is short of.

How to apply for the Black Mountain Bursary
- Collect the application form from Aggeneys High School, Pofadder High School or the community liaison offices in Pella, Onseepkans, Pofadder and Witbank when the advert appears.
- Attach a certified ID, certified Matric results or certificate, your current academic record if already studying, proof of acceptance or registration and proof of residence in the Khai-Ma area.
- Return the completed application to the same collection point before 8 December. Late applications are not accepted.
