Deloitte, one of the Big Four audit and advisory firms, funds future chartered accountants through its bursary programme. It pays tuition for SAICA-accredited degrees at any accredited university and leads into a training contract at Deloitte, so it is as much a recruitment pipeline as a bursary. Applications for 2027 are open now.
About the Deloitte Bursary
- Fields: SAICA-accredited chartered accountancy degrees, from BCom Accounting or BAcc through to the PGDA or CTA.
- Covers tuition and academic materials, paid directly to the university. Accommodation and living costs are not included.
- Bursars sign a training contract to do their SAICA articles at Deloitte after graduating, with vacation work during their studies.
Deloitte Bursary eligibility requirements
- South African citizen, in Matric or with Matric.
- Studying, or accepted, for a SAICA-accredited CA qualification at a SAICA-accredited university.
- Strong results, especially in Mathematics and Accounting; Deloitte weighs academic performance, financial need and its own business needs in selection.
- Willing to complete SAICA articles at Deloitte.

- Upload a certified ID, Matric results or certificate, your latest tertiary academic record, a recent fee statement, proof of your parents’ or guardians’ income and a motivation letter.
- Submit before 30 September 2026. Shortlisted applicants are assessed and interviewed before offers are made.
