About the Fleet Horizon Solutions Bursary

The Fleet Horizon Solutions Bursary is open to South African students for the 2024 academic year. 

The bursary awards financial support for one academic year at a time, with the possibility of renewal based on continued academic progress and the availability of funds at FHS. 

This bursary program is open to students pursuing any field of study at a recognized South African public university or college.

Fleet Horizon Solutions Bursary Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Fleet Horizon Solutions Bursary, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Be a South African citizen.
  2. Be under 35 years of age.
  3. Currently be in Matric (completed Grade 12 in 2023) or have already completed Matric.
  4. Be enrolled or be accepted for enrollment at a recognized public tertiary institution in South Africa.
  5. Have achieved a minimum of 60% for all subjects in Matric (if applicable).
  6. Maintain a minimum of 60% for all major subjects at the tertiary level (if currently studying).
  7. Be unemployed.
  8. Possess a clear criminal record.
  9. Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

Fleet Horizon Solutions Bursary Application Requirements

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for the FHS Bursary by submitting clear copies of the following documents:

  1. Certified copy of your South African ID document.
  2. Certified copy of your Matric latest report (if currently in Matric).
  3. Certified copy of your Matric certificate (if you have completed Matric).
  4. Certified copy of your full academic record (if currently studying).
  5. Proof of enrollment or acceptance letter from the public tertiary institution (on official letterhead).  
  6. Proof of residence.
  7. Short Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  8. Motivational letter outlining your academic goals and reasons for applying for the bursary (see resources below for tips on writing a strong motivational letter).
  9. Proof of income for your parents or guardians (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of grant or pension if applicable).
  10. Disclosure of any other source of financial support you may be receiving.  
  11. Medical certificate confirming disability (if applicable).

There is no separate application form for this bursary. 

Students need only submit the list of documents mentioned above.
