Future Managers is a Cape Town publisher of textbooks and digital learning materials for TVET colleges. As part of its youth development work it has funded a small bursary for TVET students in the Western Cape and Northern Cape who fall outside NSFAS.

About the Future Managers Bursary

The bursary covered tuition fees only, paid directly to the college, for full-time study in National Certificate (Vocational) or Nated (Report 191) programmes at public TVET colleges.

Future Managers Bursary eligibility requirements

South African citizen aged 16 to 35.
Living in the Western Cape or Northern Cape.
Enrolled full-time in an NCV or Nated programme at a public TVET college.
A strong academic record.
From a previously disadvantaged community, or living with a disability or special needs.
Not receiving NSFAS funding.
No criminal record or pending cases.

Future Managers Bursary application process

Applicants downloaded the form from the Future Managers website and emailed it to melanie@futuremanagers.com with the subject line “Future Managers Bursary Application” and these attachments:

Certified copy of your ID.
Certified copy of your most recent results: Matric certificate or TVET college results.
Proof of residence in the Western Cape or Northern Cape.
Proof that you are not funded by NSFAS.
Proof of disability from a doctor or occupational therapist, if applicable.

Funding for TVET students in 2027

NSFAS is the main funder of NCV and Nated students at public TVET colleges and covers tuition, accommodation and allowances for students from households earning under R350 000 a year. Students above that threshold should look at the SETA bursaries and provincial schemes on our government bursaries page.
