  1. You must be a South African citizen.
  2. You must be studying or intending to study at a South African tertiary institution (University or College) that is registered with the DHET.
  3. Your qualification must have a duration of 12 months or longer.
  4. You must not be holding any other bursary, award, or internship that binds you to enter the service of another organisation upon completion of your studies.
  5. Academic Criteria (Matric Learners): Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 65% in your Grade 12 mid-year or final results.
  6. Academic Criteria (Current Tertiary Students): Must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60% in your most recent academic results.
  7. You must maintain a minimum overall average of 60% to be considered for funding for subsequent academic years.

  1. Check Status: When the next cycle opens, visit the Hollywood Foundation website and look for the “Future is Bright Bursary Programme” application portal.
  2. Complete Online Form: Fill in all sections of the online application form accurately and completely.
  3. Motivation Letter: Write and attach a detailed Motivation Letter (maximum 2000 words) outlining why you deserve the bursary and how your chosen qualification aligns with your career goals.
  4. Upload Compulsory Documents (Certified Copies):
