AMSOL describes itself as the only marine solutions provider in the region that is employee and management owned. AMSOL presents that ownership as a way to drive economic empowerment and share value with its workforce, which distinguishes AMSOL from foreign-owned shipping and marine contractors.

What AMSOL does at sea

AMSOL’s services go well beyond towing ships. AMSOL manages specialist cargo transshipment inshore, in port and offshore, and runs air diving, saturation diving and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) subsea operations. AMSOL lists energy clients such as PetroSA, the Strategic Fuel Fund, Sasol, Astron Energy and international oil companies working off West Africa, and AMSOL links its growth to South Africa’s Operation Phakisa blue economy initiative.
