CHS Developments’ mission emphasises customer service, value-added outcomes and innovative, flexible solutions, and the company names integrity as a core value built on honesty and trustworthiness.

CHS Developments’ corporate social investment page adds that the company cannot operate in isolation from communities and good governance, and that social involvement goes beyond its commercial work.

What is known about the bursary

The CHS Developments bursary has funded students in construction management, civil engineering and quantity surveying, with holiday work on company projects and an expectation that bursars join CHS after graduating. That made it a small but direct route into the KwaZulu-Natal construction industry.

CHS Developments has used a 12 January closing date each year, but the last widely published call was for the 2022 academic year, and no 2027 advert had appeared when BursariesAfrica checked.

How to find out whether the bursary is still running

Email or call CHS Developments from November 2026 and ask whether a 2027 round will run. If CHS confirms a round, expect a closing date around 12 January 2027. Ask which qualifications the company will fund, whether it accepts university and university of technology students, and what the holiday work involves.

Because the bursary has not been widely advertised for several years, apply to active construction bursaries with confirmed dates as well, and treat CHS as an extra option.
