What Clover says about working there
Clover’s careers page points to two consecutive RepTrak studies, in 2016 and 2017, that named Clover among South Africa’s most reputable companies and ideal places to work. Clover lists five company values: People, Quality, Integrity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Responsibility. Clover’s stated purpose is to be better for the benefit of its people and communities.
The Clover Pinnacle Bursary
The Pinnacle Bursary is Clover’s award for a small number of top students each year. Clover’s careers portal listed the 2027 round as closing on 30 September 2026, while the previous full round closed much later in the cycle, on 6 January 2025. That shift in timing is worth noting: a student who remembers a January deadline could miss the 2027 round entirely.
BursariesAfrica recommends confirming the closing date on Clover’s portal itself before applying, because Clover can change a listing without notice.
Merchandiser YES learnership
Clover also offers work experience to unemployed young people through the Youth Employment Service. The 2026 Merchandiser YES learnership offered 112 posts and closed on 3 February 2026. Merchandisers work in retail stores, keeping Clover products stocked and displayed, and the learnership combines that job with structured training. No 2027 intake had been advertised when BursariesAfrica checked.
Researching Clover before you apply
Clover’s careers page invites people to submit a CV for future vacancies, which is a useful step for graduates even outside a bursary round. Before applying for the Pinnacle Bursary, read about Clover’s factories and brands so you can explain which part of the business interests you, whether processing, quality, logistics or sales. Watch Clover’s careers pages from late 2026 for the next YES learnership.
Clover’s merchandising learnership suits someone who enjoys retail and wants a first job, while the Pinnacle Bursary suits a student already committed to a degree. Deciding which one fits your situation before you gather documents saves you from preparing the wrong application. Clover’s head office in Roodepoort handles corporate recruitment enquiries.
