Kuehne+Nagel Inzuzo Trust

The Inzuzo Trust says its bursaries open doors for African women to pursue careers in logistics across South Africa. The trust is linked to Kuehne+Nagel, the Swiss-founded freight forwarding and logistics group, and Kuehne+Nagel describes its mission here as empowering the next generation of leaders to create a more progressive, inclusive and vibrant society.

Why logistics, and why women

Logistics careers, from freight forwarding to supply chain management, have long been dominated by men in South Africa. The Inzuzo Trust targets women deliberately to change who reaches management in the sector. The trust funds degrees in logistics and supply chain as well as accounting and information systems, fields that a logistics company needs in finance and technology teams.

Who can apply for 2027

The Inzuzo Trust bursary for 2027 is open and closes on 18 October 2026. Only students entering second year, third year or postgraduate study in 2027 may apply, so school leavers and students entering first year cannot use this round. The trust does not accept late applications.

The trust describes its bursaries as help with tuition fees and related study expenses. The trust also says it looks for students with academic potential and a strong commitment to making a positive difference in their communities, so a motivation that shows community involvement strengthens an application.

Before you submit

Apply through the bursary application page on inzuzotrust.org.za and read the full document list on our main Inzuzo Trust bursary page. If you have questions, use the contact details on the trust’s own website and double-check the email address before sending documents, because a single typing mistake in an address can send your application nowhere.

Students who are entering first year should plan to apply to the Inzuzo Trust in the following year, once they have first-year results, and look for first-year funding elsewhere in the meantime. Kuehne+Nagel’s own careers pages show the kinds of roles bursars could grow into.

Kuehne+Nagel moves goods by sea, air and road for customers around the world, so bursars studying logistics could later work in freight forwarding, contract logistics or supply chain planning. Researching those three areas before writing a motivation lets applicants explain precisely which logistics career they want and why.

Commerce students can compare the trust with other funders on our Commerce Bursaries page.
