More than a century of brands
Tiger Brands says it has been a staple in South African homes for over a century. Some of its brands are older than the company in its current form: All Gold tomato sauce launched in 1908, and Fatti’s & Moni’s pasta, with its Italian heritage, was established in 1915.
A refreshed strategy
In 2024 Tiger Brands implemented a refreshed strategy aimed at sustainable revenue growth, margin expansion, optimised operations and disciplined capital allocation. A federated operating model now organises the business into five business units. Tiger Brands has sold or classified as discontinued non-core businesses such as Langeberg & Ashton Foods, its Randfontein milling operations and Chococam, and reduced its dividend cover, which lifted its final dividend.
Tiger Brands’ Albany Bread-On-The-Streets initiative aims to create 3 000 entrepreneurial opportunities for bread sellers, and three Tiger Brands sites have achieved zero waste to landfill.
Young talent programmes
Tiger Brands’ graduate bursary funds students only from second year onwards, after at least six months at university, so it can see university results. The bursary covers all prescribed tuition, registration and examination fees, a textbook allowance and a monthly stipend, with mentorship, vacation work and consideration for the 24-month Future Leaders Development Programme. Fields include mechanical, electrical, industrial, chemical and electronic engineering, food science, supply chain, finance and accounting on the CA(SA) route, and data science and IT.
Applicants need at least 65% in Matric and in their first semester, with strong Mathematics, Accounting or Science results and financial need. Tiger Brands also offers learnerships and workplace experience for diploma students, and recently congratulated graduates who moved into permanent roles.
Timing
Tiger Brands runs one window a year, from 22 September to 22 October, so the 2027 window runs from 22 September to 22 October 2026.
