You can obtain the nomination form from your department head or directly from the SAAFoST website.

  1. Completed nomination form signed by your Head of Department.
  2. Certified copy of your complete academic record for all previous years.
  3. Proof of full-time registration for your BSc (Hons) or B-Tech program.

Nominations must be submitted to the SAAFoST Membership Development Officer by 15 February 2024. Ensure all documents are complete and attached before submitting.

The SAAFoST Aubrey Parsons Study Grant Requirements

For you to qualify for this grant, you must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Citizenship: Be a South African citizen.
  2. Academic Merit: Demonstrate outstanding academic performance, with an average of at least 70% in your previous years of study.
  3. SAAFoST Membership: Be a paid-up member of SAAFoST for at least 12 months prior to the application deadline.
  4. Study Focus: Be enrolled in a full-time BSc (Hons) or B-Tech program within the fields of food science or food technology at one of the eight designated universities.
