The Scatec Bursary Requirements
For an applicant to be eligible for the Scatec Bursary, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Have completed Matric OR be currently in Matric.
- Be currently registered or qualify for possible registration at an approved South African university.
- Be studying or intend on studying full-time towards an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Be studying or intend on studying at a university recognized or accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- Meet the minimum academic requirements:
- Matric students: Minimum overall average of 70% and pass rate for Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students: Minimum overall average of 50%.
- Postgraduate students: Successful completion of undergraduate studies.
- Preference is given to students from previously disadvantaged designated groups within South Africa.
