VerifiedThe South African Avocado Growers’ Association represents the country’s avocado farmers through Subtrop. Its bursary builds a more diverse pool of horticulturists and agricultural economists for the subtropical fruit industry.
About the SAAGA Bursary
- For BSc Agriculture or equivalent degrees.
- Majors: horticultural science, or agricultural economics or agribusiness.
- Honours and master’s students also considered.
Eligibility requirements
- South African from a historically disadvantaged group.
- Studying or accepted for a qualifying agriculture degree.
- A good academic record.
- Interest in the subtropical fruit industry.
How to apply
- Download the SAAGA application form from subtrop.co.za/bursaries.
- Complete it and attach your ID, academic record and proof of registration or acceptance.
- Submit it as the form directs before 31 October 2026.
