VerifiedPublic TVET colleges do not register students to rewrite the National Senior Certificate. Matric rewrites are handled by the Department of Basic Education. A TVET college can still help if your matric results are holding you back, by offering a different qualification at the same NQF level.

Frequently asked questions
Can I rewrite matric at a public TVET college?
No. The DBE registers matric rewrite candidates. A TVET college offers the NC(V) as an alternative Level 4 qualification.

Both are at NQF Level 4, but they are different qualifications. Universities have their own NC(V) Level 4 admission requirements.
